Later on, Thrifty and Dollar, which were already well-known national chains, kept their identities. General was absorbed into the Dollar Rent A Car company.
This move made Dollar Rent A Car one of the world’s companies renting only Chrysler vehicles. It has proved to be a win-win-win situation for Dollar Rent A Car, Chrysler Corporation and their customers. Dollar was able to provide a quality product, Chrysler had a reputable company offer its wares and customers could turn to two quality companies in their rental experience.
