Pontiac Grand Prix is the well-known sports car in 1980′s. While its popularity peaks in the said decade, it has been released for quite some time. It has its market debut in 1962 as the sportier counterpart of Pontiac Catalina. What makes Pontiac Grand Prix special is that it is seen by most as a luxury model car especially with its exterior trim which has been setting the trend in the sixties. Teenagers considered Pontiac Grand Prix as a sports car. A testament to this is its popularity among teenagers which account to a large percentage of its buyer creating a teen sensation in 1980s. With some interviews published in Teen Beat Magazine, it is not a surprise how it teens are fascinated by it.

Before, Bonneville has become the most preferred car among retirees and elder generation. However, it was just recently taken over by Pontiac Grand Prix as the car of preference for the said ages. Adding to the fact that Bonneville’s production is discontinued, Pontiac Grand Prix’s position will never be moved.

The sportier look is an attraction for Pontiac Grand Prix. However, the thing that edges them from other car is its fuel efficient engine. With the fact that gasoline prices are rising with no signs of having it plummet, Pontiac Grand Prix will surely be a perfect car in case of an energy crisis will occur. No wonder its manufacturers are even considering of working on hybrid model car to maximize its fuel efficiency.

Due to the popularity of the Grand Prix, and to engage interest, General Motors is putting out more accessories for the car and its lovers. Most of these accessories can be bought and used with cars other than the Grand Prix, and can be found in any automotive shop. Some of the accessories, however, can only be purchased from exclusive General Motors dealers and parts specialists. One of the more popular, inexpensive, and universal accessories available today are the Pontiac Grand Prix keychains.

There are actually four different Pontiac Grand Prix keychains available for your pleasure. They can be great for gifts or for your own personal use. The key chains are available in four styles, two of which are a combination of leather and metal and two that are metal alone. The most popular key chain available is the leather key chain with a silver ring around the metal Pontiac Grand Prix medallion.

The other leather key chain has a wider gold ring around the medallion. The two metal key chains available are very different from each other. One is a simple circle, while the other is the same simple circle but with a nice, wider band of chrome around the circlet. All four of the key chains hold the Pontiac Grand Prix symbols on their medallions, and they each cost around seven dollars.

There are many ways that you can personalize these key chains for your particular use. If you are a car dealer you can have your dealership name or logo engraved on the back of any of the key chains for only five dollars. Other companies may also wish to have their company names or logos engraved on these key chains, along with a number, to help them track their company cars. You could also personalize them with the date that you purchased your Pontiac Grand Prix, your favorite Grand Prix model year, or your name or the name of the person you are giving the keychain to.
